The Andrea Bocelli Foundation is celebrating 10 years Of “Empowering People And Communities” in Florence

Andrea Bocelli Foundation celebra a Firenze 10 anni di “Empowering People And Communities”

An innovative and exciting video-mapping show will bring the facade of the San Firenze Complex to life, where the Foundation’s headquarters are located, on the evenings of July 12 and 13.

For the inauguration of this creative project, in addition to Andrea Bocelli, Renato Zero, Noemi, Serena Autieri, Giovanni Caccamo, Mara Venier, Jo Champa, Catrinel Marlon, Tony Renis, Matteo Bocelli, Andrea Paris and many other friends of ABF are expected.

Florence (July 5, 2021) – It is in Florence, in the beating heart of the city, just a few meters from the Palazzo della Signoria, that the Andrea Bocelli Foundation (ABF) – a charitable endeavor strongly desired by the tenor and his family – will celebrate its 10th anniversary with over 35 projects under its belt, which have been advanced over the last decade to benefit people and communities in Italy and around the world.

For the 10th anniversary celebrations, the Foundation will put on an open-air show for Florence, that city that has welcomed ABF since the very beginning, and for everyone who would like to join in the festivities: “ABF Stardust”. A video-mapping show will actually come to life on the facade of the San Firenze Complex, accompanied by lights, sounds and other exciting surprises. An innovative “journey” quite unlike usual mappings, which intermingles different visual techniques to give life to a building populated by life, dreams and hope. A poetic and fun narration will tell the story of ABF’s work, converting it into a video-mapping show on the surface of our new headquarters.

Indeed, it was in January, during the height of the pandemic, when the renovated spaces on the 2nd floor of the Complex were inaugurated, where today the Foundation’s global headquarters are located, as well as the “ABF GlobaLAB”, a strategic vocational project designed to encourage and guide the talent of the citizens of tomorrow with rooms dedicated to vocational workshops that will welcome young people aged between 16 and 25 from Florence, Italy and further afield.

The evening of July 12 will also see a red carpet set up and a fundraising dinner held (invite only) that will be arranged in the Piazza. Many guests are expected, including Renato Zero, Noemi, Serena Autieri, Giovanni Caccamo,  Mara Venier, Jo Champa, Tony Renis, Catrinel Marlon, Matteo Bocelli, and Andrea Paris. Several donors will also take part in the evening, to once again attest to the support they have shown ABF over the last ten years.

The inauguration of the “ABF Stardust” show is also scheduled for 10:30 pm on Monday, July 12. The next day it will be played on a loop from 9:30 to 11:45 pm. The creative project was developed by D-Work, an Italian leader in entertainment design, and its creative director Paolo Gep Cucco.

For Florence, this initiative represents one of the first live events of the summer: a collective new beginning that encapsulates hope, also on the Foundation’s behalf. After this first important step, our objective is to proceed with even more resources in order to offer increasing support to help others in need.
